Day 1: Arrival:

Onset at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by a delegate from Uganda Safaris. You will be driven to your lodge/hotel.

Day 2: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla forest

You will meet and go to the Bwindi impenetrable National Park with your safari guide. This picturesque drive takes a min of 8 hours and the drive takes you through the grasslands of Ankole, prominent for its long horned cattle. Carry on through the highlands of Kigezi with their marvelously terraced hills typically referred to as the Switzerland of Africa.

Here you will have lunch break and an opportunity to elongate your legs. Keep on with the journey through stunning panorama sighting the volcanic Virunga Mountains on a clear day. Arrive in Bwindi National Park in the evening. This park is the home of the atypical mountain gorillas.

There are also a wide diversity of primates to see including the blue and red tailed monkeys in this opaque green forest. You take an early sleep to be able to wake up early the following day for your voyage.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Gorilla Forest

Very early in the morning after an early breakfast and guides briefing, leave for your Gorilla trekking activity in the forests of Bwindi. Gorilla tracking can be exhausting, you will need to carry a crammed lunch, drinking water, wear relaxed boots or jungle shoes appropriate for steep grimy slopes, put on earplugs for those who feel Spartan with jungle sounds and take a rain jacket.

Walking sticks will be produced accessible by the park rangers for those who need one. Return to the camp excited to recover a drink from the meeting with friends.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

We will leave early with our crammed lunch for Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will drive through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth known as Ishasha, eminent for its tree-climbing lions. Ishasha is a distant and stunning conservatory of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

We will see topi, buffalo, and hippo among other wild species. It is a tremendous sight to see the lions draped from the trees and nowhere in Africa do you stand a better chance of seeing this than in the large low-limbed fig tree of Ishasha.

Day 5: Game drive/ Launch cruise

After breakfast, you will go for a daybreak game drive on to the undulating plains where you can view Lions, Giraffe, and Hartebeest, Buffalo and Elephant as well as many of the other mammals of the park.

For the birders amid you these areas prop up, Black Chested Snake Eagle, the Secretary Bird, Tawny and Marshal Eagles Carmine and Swallow Tailed Bee-Eaters, to pick just a few.

This is a beautiful drive through Borassus Palm Forest and grassland savanna down to Albert Lake where the Albert Nile continues south to Sudan.

In the afternoon, a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel gives you a chance to view wildlife up close: hippo’s wheeze and squirt sheer feet away from the boat, buffalo loiter in the shallows.

The shores of the channel are also home to an assortment of birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others. After this magnificent afternoon, a slow drive back to the Lodge.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth – Kibale NP

Subsequent breakfast and a morning game drive, we will head off to Kibale Forest National Park. We will leave the park through the Northern Crater Area, with a striking lake and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley; this is truly the most spectacular scenery in the park. We will then carry on to Fort Portal town arriving in the late afternoon.

After Lunch you will go for a guided walk in Bigodi Swamp to look for diverse bird species like the Shining Blue Kingfisher, Blue Throated Roller and other rare species and also find the fruiting trees, which magnetize Narina Trogon, Pied Hornbill, Yellow Spotted, Hairy Breasted and Yellow-Billed Barbets.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking/ Departure

Comparatively early in the morning, reporting to Kibale National Park ranger station at 08.00am to track habituated chimps – these enchanting monkeys, closer to humans than any other living creature, are an amazing fun to watch as they wrangle and play in fruit trees.

Kibale National Park

There are over 13 species of primates in the incredibly varied forest, including red Colobus monkey, the rare L’Hoest, blue monkey, gray mangy, pottos, velvet monkeys, baboons and bush babies. A network of dappled forest paths offers plenty for glee botanists and butterfly enthusiasts, while birders are in for a treat with 335 species recorded including the surface thrush of the endemic Peregrine.

The elusive forest elephant, lower and more hairy than its savannah foil, moves seasonally to the park’s advanced portion, while other terrestrial mammals include buffalo, giant forest hog and half a dozen antelope species.
After Lunch, we will depart to Kampala arriving in the Evening. Convey to your Hotel OR to the Airport for your flight back Home.
