Detailed itinerary for the 8 Days Wildlife and Primate Safari

Day 1:  Pick up from Entebbe and transfer to  Kibale National Park

On your arrival at Entebbe, you will be picked up by our representative from Car Hire Uganda who will brief you through your safari itinerary and then proceed on to Kibale National Park.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

 After a mouthwatering breakfast, you will be driven to the briefing center for registration and briefing before you start the chimpanzee trekking. The trekking normally takes about 3 hours in Kibale forest one of East Africa’s oldest forests.

This forest protects a community of more than 1000 Chimpanzees plus other primate species and a variety of bird species that includes the Green-breasted Pitta.

After the rewarding activity, relax around, have lunch and later in the afternoon go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary to spot the various primates and bird species around the swamp as it is a birders hub.

You come back to the lodge after the walk for dinner and over night.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and afternoon Boat cruise

After breakfast, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth national park, driving through the crater lakes region of Kabarole and do a mini game drive as we enter the park, check into your lodge.

You will  have lunch and relax around and later on go for the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to view the wildlife from close quarters as they cool off along the shores of the Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward.

Retreat back to the lodge for dinner and over night.

Day 4: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

You fourth  day will begins early as you start with an early morning game drive plains in search for wildlife which includes the Buffalos, Kobs, Warthogs, Elephants, Waterbucks, Lions, Hyenas, and on lucky days leopards among others.

After the game drive, go back to the lodge for breakfast, check out and drive to Bwindi through Ishasha sector where tree climbing lions can be seen according to the luck of the day.

You will have lunch en-route and later check in to your hotel .Dinner and overnight stay at

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

After a hefty breakfast, your guide will lead you to the briefing center for briefing by the park rangers before starting gorilla trekking. The exercise may be arduous walking up steep hills sometimes under muddy conditions.

3 Days Gorilla Trekking Bwindi - Car Hire

Mountain Gorilla Trekking may take about 2 – 8 hours, experiencing the Gentle giants World, and for conservation purposes when you track them, you are required to spend one hour with them and the guide will advise you on how to behave while with these great apes.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After a tranquil breakfast,  drive to Lake Bunyonyi, check into your accommodation, have lunch, relax a bit and later in the afternoon go for a boat cruise along the lake.

During the boat cruise, you can visit some of the lakes’ Islands where you can see a lot of water birds and see some traditional dancers and pygmies. Later come back to the lodge for dinner and over night.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo

After breakfast, head out to Lake Mburo National Park, passing through the rolling hills of Kabale and Mbarara, with lunch en-route, arriving in the afternoon and check-in to the lodge and later on go for a boat cruise on the Lake as you spot various animals around the shores.

Day 8: Morning nature walk and transfer to Kampala

your last day will begin with an early morning guided nature walk as you search for wildlife that includes, Buffaloes, leopards, Warthogs, Impalas, Eland (Africa’s biggest antelope), Oribis, Bush bucks, Reedbucks, Waterbucks, Topis, Bush Pigs and zebras among others.

This normally takes about two hours according to how much you use on the walk and the interest you have in what you see. Go back to the lodge for have breakfast and afterwards transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route for your return flight.
